Features
The Britax B-Ready is a single child stroller that can be easily converted to a double stroller with an additional seat.
The B-Ready can be used with a single toddler seat, bassinet or car seat. Or it can be use with 2 car seats, 2 toddler seats or 1 toddler and 1 car seat. You can see the 14 different configurations in the image below. The B-Ready can be used with cars from Britax, Peg Perego, Chicco and Gracco, with an optional car seat attachment. Learn more about the different second seats on our Accessories page.
The base model has a single 12″ wide toddler seat, designed for children 6 months or older. The seat is 24″ tall, which can comfortably accommodate kids up to age 5 or more.
The toddler seat can be easily reversed. It can also be easily inclined when your child is ready to sleep.
It has a generous sun cover, and also comes with a rain cover. The sun cover has a magnetic peek-a-boo window, making it easy to check on a sleeping child without waking them up.
The seatbelt is a 5-point harness and the stroller has an adjustable headrest.
The handle can be adjusted from 33″ above ground to 44″. It does not extend out, but the B-Ready has a comfort grip in the middle of the handle for one-handed manoeuvring.
The B-Ready has a very large storage area below the seat. This storage area can be accessed from the back, or from the sides or front through windows.
The B-Ready has solid plastic swivel wheels (i.e. they are not inflatable). These wheels provide excellent manoeuvrability. The wheels can also be locked in the forward position.
This stroller is easy to collapse and open. It can be collapsed with 2 seats attached. The wheels can be easily removed to take us less room and re-attached very quickly.
The stroller comes in black, red, green or grey.

Tips for Using the Britax B-Ready
Many parents will find the Britax B-Ready an excellent solution for accommodating a growing family. It is important to note, however, that there are restrictions on attaching two child seats. Specifically, for the upper position, you can use the $46 Britax B-Ready Universal Infant Car Seat Adapter Kit which works with the Graco Snugride, Chicco Key Fit or Peg Perego Primo Viaggio car seats, or the $80 adapter kit which works with the Britax B-Ready Lower Infant Car Seat Adapter. In the lower position, you can only use the $80 adapter kit and this only works with the Britax Chaperone.

Assessment
Pros
The Britax B-Ready is probably the best single to double stroller on the market.
Most importantly, it can hold two children very comfortably in toddler seats, car seats or a bassinet. Positioning the children one in front/above the other makes this considerably more agile than a stroller that sits two children beside each other. At the same time, the seats are a generous size; big enough, for example, to easily wrap your child in a blanket.
This stroller is very easy to fold and put into the back of a car. It can be folded and stored with both seats attached. Unfolding the stroller is also very quick and easy.
The B-Ready is highly manoeuvrable and designed to make moving one or two children as easy as possible.
Cons
The biggest shortcoming with the Britax B-Ready involves its wheels. The hard-molded plastic wheels are excellent on pavement, but more difficult to manage on grass or another uneven surface. This is not the best all terrain stroller, and would not be the best choice if you envisage considerable “off-roading”.
There are a few other minor complaints with the B-Ready, but probably none that should be considered deal-breakers. For instance, there is no good solution for a parent console (to hold a coffee, etc) when the stroller is in double mode. The console needs to be stored down by the wheels making it difficult to access. Also, the stroller does not always stay locked shut when it has been folded.
Alternatives
There are other double strollers worth considering.
The Baby Jogger City Select Stroller is another “stadium” seating stroller, however, it gets modest reviews
and is a relatively expensive option at $615.
Another option is the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller. This is also a stadium stroller that can be purchased for less than $300.
A third option is the Maclaren Twin Triumph Stroller. This stroller has two toddler seats side-by-side, which does not have the ability to be changed with car seats or bassinets. This stroller sells for $265.
Conclusion
The Britax B-Ready Stroller is an exceptional stroller that works in either single or double mode. It will grow comfortably along with a growing family.
